The Way I Should is a love song about staying true to your love and relationship regardless of what the rest of the world is doing. It is a contemporary R&B tune about a love that is seamless because it is pure and true, without the influence of anybody else. Riwo's composition of The Way I Should is reminiscent of the R&B stylings of Brandy Norwood, Ashanti or Monica, something of a 90s R&B classic.
